Well I have moaned a couple of times about Airvpn, Well I take it all back, today I tried NordVpn on a 3 day free trial and it was awful,. The speeds were terrible using their UK servers I had to change to Ireland where things improved slightly, but their windows app was terrible, sometimes it would take nearly 2 mins to load !

I've tested Nord many times the last few years and find that they are no worse or better than the next vpn. There are too many variables to consider for a simple 3 day trial to expose.

My tests are extensive and include a number of variables up to and including: time of day, ISP configurations, vpn configuration, server population, encryption protocols, fast lane vs slow lane vs cloud sites vs torrent sites, operating systems, wifi vs ethernet connections, router and modem configurations, and so on.

Jumping on the "Nord sux" bandwagon is really not necessary. While personally, I don't put much trust in some of Nord's behavior, the tech remains the same.

Nord was definitely a step down from Air speed wise. My internet connection was pretty much capped at 2mbits when I was with Nord as well, which a couple other 'friends' online also experienced. With Air I get almost my whole bandwidth so no complaints there. Air gives you a lot more freedom to accommodate your particular connection too. Nord was pretty much, here you go, thats what you get. But then again, I was using Tunnelblick for my trial. I know they have an app for Windows, but didn't even look for a Mac one, so I cant fairly compare it to Eddie at all in that respect.
