Sean Rad once said that data beats emotions, and how well have we seen this happen in the material world around us. Numbers rule our senses, from stock exchanges to cricket scores. It is the efficient and intelligent analysis of these numbers that turns these digits into meaningful statistics. Turning mere numbers into learnings through data science is what the Harvard Business Review calls the “SEXIEST JOBS OF THE CENTURY.” Data science has been interpreted subjectively by many thinkers. Many proponents have argued that data science is not only a collection of figures; rather it serves as an art of deriving meaning from the raw figures in a manner that gives life to gather precise prediction. Data scientists have been working closely with statisticians to add more theoretic objectivity to a subject which has evolved mostly in the contemporary twenty-first century.
